Im starting a blog because I feel called to tell my story In hopes it could help other people in need.
My journey started when I was 18 I started to have pain and tiredness, long periods pretty much effecting my everyday life. I went to a doctor of ob/gyn at 19 and they discovered i had a very large cyst on my left fallopion tube. I had a laproscopic surgery to remove the fluid, so I wouldn't have scar tissue and a young age. 8 months later it grew back even larger, I passed out at work, yep that was fun!! had a surgery to open me up, remove the whole thing. yes, my first hospital overnight stay and my first experience with staples, oh JOY! well lets just say the morphine drip worked wonders lol. well from then on till I was 24 a doctor in eau claire wi. after just figuring I was born with this stuff I just have to learn to live with it. well even after * years on hormonal birth control I still had troubles, and had my first discovery of endomitriosis growth!! had surgery to remove and about 3 more surgeries after that I am now 29 and is an expert on surgeries for female issues.
In 2006 I got married (was in love with the idea of marriage and low self esteem. 5 year off and on bulimic)
my marriage lasted 2 years, 1 year of being legally married, but exhusband took off and didn't speak to me, it was like he died. during the marriage I suffered from 3 miscarriages all between 4 weeks and 7 weeks along. then on Dec. 24th of 2008 i found out I was pregnant at 4am UGH!! my ex had already taken off and we had not spoken or seen eachother in 3 weeks (mind you I tryed to contact no such luck) I didn't know what my marriage was or were it was going. but I know know WE did not have a marriage. I lost that baby at 16 weeks on Jan. 29th 2009 and was scheduled to have a DNC surgery to remove it.
After that time I found a very good church in eau claire wi. called Valleybrook Church, I counceled with the assistant pastor Matt there for a year, and a few times with another pastor Mary too. they both helped me see what I needed to change about myself, my faith, helped me thru emotianal abuse with my marriage, my control issues with bulimia, and how to cope with things thru life with GOD.
Long story short, after almost 2 years of my divorce not being legal, even though we had not lived together or seen eachother (and now know my marriage was over the day he left december of 2008 and I know now it was unhealthy and I deserved better, and I pray he also finds peace in his life and heals thru his own turmoil) I moved to Eau claire on Dec 1st 2009 with the help of my church family, my wondeful parents, brother and family, and my godsend of a boyfriend now Caleb. ( who I had met and a group at valleybrook september of 2009) and a kick in the butt from my old boss and fellow coworker lol to start over elsewhere. (im pretty stubborn hehe it tokk all those people to convince me :) )
So im hoping my new journey Of healing more, Fitness goals (figure competion with the help of my trainer lori and my fellow friend/chiroprator Julia Carlson) and my testing and detox starting thru my chiropractor can help someone or encorauge them that life goes on and it can be beautiful, and you can change your body and heal it. much love Katie
Hi Katie!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to know that you are in a different place, a better place, than you were a year ago. You have been through so many obstacles at such a young age but I know those obstacles have made you stronger. You will be a great inspiration and educator for those going through a similar situation!
I know I have just met you and can't wait to learn more about you, but from the moment we spoke you had such a warm personality and a big heart! Even more good things are coming your way! I love having you in FIT BODY! You are focused, determined and motivated (I can see it)! Therefore, you are a great motivator and role model for others in FB!
I can't wait to help you reach your Figure Competition goal whether it is the 'real deal', a mock contest or both! I look forward to meeting your chiropractor Julia (HI Julia!)and learning from her as well! Exciting times ahead! Stay focused on your goal/s! Never give up and take each day at a time!
I look forward to reading more on your blog!! LIVE and LOVE BIG!!
